Sharing who is on call without a login

The switchboard, the emergency department, or a practice you cover all need to know one thing: who is on call right now. This video shows how to publish an on-call board as a simple link, with no account and no password, and how to replace that link if it ever gets out. Open On-call boards. Each board answers who's on call for one thing: a ward, a service, or the whole site. Nothing is public until you publish it. Type a name, here Evening call. Optionally choose a unit, or leave it as the whole site. Then press Add rotation. The new board starts private. Press Publish a public link. Here's the link. Copy it to the operator, the answering service, or a hospital you cover. Anyone holding it sees who is on call now, and who takes the next handoff. Name, role, hours, and the contact route you entered. No personal mobile numbers, no addresses, no other week. The board reads the schedule, so there's no second roster to keep in step. On the schedule, open Add a shift. Name it Evening call, five in the evening until eight the next morning, and tick On call. Under Show on the on-call board, pick the board, and whether this is first call, second call, or backup. For a backup rota, add it again as its own rota and choose backup: the board then shows both, in order. Tick Repeat it, as a rota, keep Monday to Thursday for four weeks, and press Add the rota. The turns are shared among your RNs, fewest calls first. Here's the board, opened in a browser that isn't signed in to anything. It shows who's on call and the next handoff, in the facility's own time zone. That's all it shows. If the link ends up somewhere it shouldn't, go back to On-call boards and press Issue a new link. The old address stops working immediately, and a new one is issued. You can also turn the board off altogether. Open the old link again, and it's gone: the page simply isn't there any more. Send the new link to the people who should have it. That's the on-call board: create it, publish its link, and mark call shifts for it on the schedule. The link answers who's on call without an account, and if it ever leaks, one press replaces it.
