How shift swaps work
Staff arrange it, a manager approves it, the database performs it.
The three steps
One person offers a shift for swap. Another accepts it. A scheduler, admin or owner approves — and only then does anything move.
The swap is performed as a single operation, so there is no moment where both nurses hold the shift or neither does. If either person has become ineligible in the meantime, the whole thing is refused and nothing changes.
